Thermal Bluestone
Smoother, More Consistent Texture
Smoother, More Consistent Texture
Thermal Bluestone is an excellent choice for those who prefer a smoother, more consistent paving texture for their projects. The thermal bluestone paving is available in two color ranges- the “Blue/ Gray” range, & the “Variegated” range.
The Blue/ Gray color thermal paving is the tightest, most consistent color range we offer. It consists only of blue and gray colors. Generally, the blue/ gray thermal paving stone is quarried from the same block which results in a very homogenous looking end result.
Variegated color thermal paving has much more color variation than the blue/ gray range. The variegated color stone includes a pleasant mixture of blue, gray, and brown tones that blend warmly together. Variegated thermal paving is a great choice whenever a little splash of color is preferred on any project.
The thermal paving (in either color range) is furnished with four sawn edges, a sawn back, and a thermal (flamed) top surface. Due to the tighter tolerances in both size and thickness (in comparison to the natural cleft stone), the thermal material tends to be easier to install. Standard sizes range from nominal 12″ x 12″ up to nominal 24″ x 36″ furnished in 6″ multiples.
Setting drawings and odd-cut sizes are also available with this product.

All materials are packaged on heavy duty end gate pallets. Most stone is banded or wrapped for secure packaging. A full pallet can weigh 3,000 to 4,000+ pounds. Depending on overall size, local deliveries are either hand-unloaded, or a truck with a forklift is employed. For non local deliveries, stone is shipped via common carrier van type trucks or open deck tractor trailers. It is then the recipient’s responsibility to have a forklift on site to unload the materials from the truck.
